Seven Soren studied at Lahanti Public School, Nonihat, under Prachodhan’s Rural Schools initiative.
Coming from a rural and underprivileged background, he faced limited exposure to higher education
opportunities and financial constraints that could have restricted his academic aspirations.
Prachodhan’s academic support, structured learning and career guidance helped Seven build a stronger foundation and understand different pathways to higher education. The guidance gave him the confidence to look beyond the opportunities immediately available in his community.
The support continued during his undergraduate studies in BA German at The English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad, where he received a monthly scholarship from Prachodhan. The assistance reduced financial pressure and allowed him to focus on his studies.
With sustained mentorship and his own determination, Seven cleared the Common University Entrance Test and secured admission to Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi, for his master’s programme. His journey demonstrates how continuous educational support, financial assistance and career guidance can widen horizons and help rural students reach institutions and opportunities once considered beyond their reach.
