When Access Became Possible: Nubaitha’s Journey to Class XII Balajyothi Scholarship Support | Udalguri, Assam

Nubaitha Daimary, 18, from Odla Panimudi in Udalguri district, faced significant barriers to education because of a locomotor disability and limited family income. He depended on his mother to accompany him to school, while transportation costs and the lack of mobility support made regular attendance increasingly difficult.

During a community outreach visit, Prachodhan Development Services identified his situation and recognised his determination to continue learning. Through the Balajyothi Scholarship Support Programme, PDS provided financial assistance towards educational and transportation needs, easing the immediate burden on his family.

The support helped Nubaitha attend school more regularly and participate more actively in his studies. With perseverance and continued effort, he completed his Higher Secondary education and passed the Class XII Board Examination with Second Division.

Nubaitha’s achievement demonstrates how timely, inclusive support can protect a child’s educational journey when financial or physical barriers threaten continuity. His experience reinforces the importance of accessible education and community-based support in helping young people with disabilities continue towards their aspirations with greater confidence.
